What do I think of people who changes citizenship?

How can one change his/her own mother? Will you dare to change your mother? In my opinion I would say its the greatest sin if you change your citizenship for whatever reason, either you are living abroad for several years or you give birth to a child in a foreign country.

I have come across people who have changed their citizenship shamelessly from proud Indian to be British and you know they make fun about India's education system and development shamelessly. They have forgotten that Mother India was providing them all the opportunity to grow and also to be in the current status.

What is that you get in changing citizenship? Status? Pride? I don't think so. You may be feeling proud in between your own Indian pals that you are British or American or Australian, but will your own citizens feel proud about you? May be on the surface but not in depth. Remember if you bark like dog you will not be one.

When my daughters were born many people asked me why cant I get Japanese citizenship for them. We cannot get in Japan thats a different question, but even if we could, I don't want to give up my identity as Indian. I am proud to be an Indian.

Request for those who have already converted to other nationalities: Please do not talk shame about India, if you can do some thing to improve India, get to do it and show her your gratitude, else shut everything up and be quite.

Request for those who are considering to get converted: Please think and ask yourselves, will your mother be happy if you try to change somebody else as your mother?

I am not saying you not to live abroad, one can live abroad, but as a proud Indian.

Indian economy in my view

Indian economy in my view is very strong ahead. Even though the US economy is having tough time ahead. Ok you may ask if US economy is in recession how can Indian economy can be bullish. The answer is we have to look into ourselves now and improve the infrastructure viz. banking, securities, train, road, electricity and many more. We still are depending on export as most of other Asian countries do. We need to understand one thing that we can feed 3rd persons child and get money with the food we have but if we don't feed our child with that quality food our child I'd going to be mal-nutritioned. Are we ready to mal-nutrition our country?

We now have lots of money within the country [thanks to IT industry], we have lots of skills now in our country [thanks to recession]. I would say recession is the right time to think of growth. If we are going to just sit and pray for US economy to pick up, then we'd never come up in our life. Ok uf we depend on US economy or EURO evonomy then yes our life style might improve.

Think of a servant maid drinking coke to quench thirst instead of a butter milk, commuting in moped instead of walking or cycling. Which is healthy? Are we ready to accept this as improved life style? Think... in my view improved life style = the nature of work we do, the status we get not the money we get. If we can eradicate servant maids by providing them proper education the I will accept it as improved life style.

Now the question is who is going to give education? Government? NGOs? No body takes initiative.

Ok what can we do to improve our economy? As said earlier we have to look ourselves ask question what is lacking in us? Don't you know what we are lacking in?

We lack in
1. Education for everybody
2. Infrastructure
3. Patriotism

Education for everybody, if we would have thought about thus 20 years ago now we could have easily be in a comfortable position than China. You may ask in what ways we are less? I will ask you in what way we are?

Infrastructure, are we satisfied with what we have? Mainly we need electricity what have we thought about generating power? Why we are wasting solar energy? Are we lacking in sun light? Roads, railways, water, orher services. I do agree there are developments, but is this pace enough to achieve Dr. Abdul Kalam's dream? 2020 is not far away. Just 10 year ahead. It's late but not too late to start.

Let's educate people, make them realize the importance of 2020 dream. Look into ourselves improve in infrastructure and the real life style.

India in my view

India. What do you know about India? India's civilisation started more than 5000 years ago. We've been ruled by several kings. We are proud of two great epics 'The Ramayana' and 'The Mahabharatha'. Do you think they are just stories? In my view they aren't those are biographies of the Rama and Krishna. Anyways I am not going to talk about the epics here. The point I want to take up here. I would like to discuss briefly about past and mostly about present so that we direct our future generations in the right path.

As said above Indian's were ruled by various kings of various dynasties. We allowed Mughuls to rule us. We allowed Greek to rule us. We allowed British to rule us. Have we ever thought for a minute that why did we allow many foreigners to invade and rule us?

Let's go little back in the history upto Alexander period. Alexander the great, I don't deny he was the great, but at the same time do we consider the Porus is also the great. Alexander was not able to enter India and was struggling to win the Porus. Whereas Porus was defeated cunningly using an insider information from Ambhi.

Similarly British, they did not come to rule us, initially, but to trade. Whereas after seeing the potential of India and how un-united we were they speculated to start ruling and exploiting us. They were successful in doing that for about 300 years. Have anybody of us thought why and how did Britishers started ruling us? Now it was again insider information and we were not united.

Ok we have got independence on Aug 15, 1947, but did we like to be a single country? British did plant a seed in the minds of Indians ie the seed of Religion by dividing India into two viz. India and Pakistan. When they went out of india they saw through that we will not be united in the future. Are we?

Now it's been 62 years (today = Aug 18, 2009) and are we really independant? Yes I must agree that we are now having 'Freedom to speak/write'. Are we any different between now and then? We are still being exploited in the name of MNCs, global brands. Most of the profit is going to other countries. I agree that the life style has improved, but with our effort other country's comfort is increasing exponentially. So who is responsible for these? Can we make our Government accountable for this? Are we going to point each other for the responsibility? Recently I heard some nasty comments about India from an Indian born British citizen on indian's capacity, Indian education etc. I agree we Indians give more importance to theory not practicals, give more importance to home works not team works, but we Indians are there in every walks of life.

To be continued...
